Does he want to fight?

Yes, according to Dana White.

Poor Michael Chandler has been dragged along for this ride, staying ready for a fight for nearly two years that seemingly will not happen. First, it was the Roadhouse movie tour that was holding McGregor up, and then he broke his toe. McGregor posts often enough on social media about everything he is doing and none of it seems to be evenly remotely related to training for a fight.

Chandler, on the other hand, you’d be hard-pressed to find him posting anything not related to training and staying ready. Sure, he posts some of the other fan events he’s a part of but he has always been dialed in to training. He still wants to fight and it looks like he’s ready to move on from McGregor based on his reaction to the news.

Chandler posted on X, “ Ah Conor, the sport will move on and thrive without you. Put to bed. Laid to rest. Soon a distant memory. You’ve vastly overestimated your importance inside of this game for almost a decade. Godspeed.”

Not long after White said McGregor wants to fight but won’t this year, McGregor posted he wanted to do December, but promptly deleted it. It doesn’t seem like he wants to, and he really doesn’t have to since he makes money in other ventures.

Maybe it’s time to let this one go.
