RIZIN DECADE
The year is over and anyone who has been watching the sport of MMA for the last—30 years or so knows that only means one thing.
It’s time for Japan’s mega MMA event.
Traditionally done in the years of Pride Fighting Championships, the same man behind that promotion, Rizin Fighting Federation founder and president Nobuyuki Sakakibara has managed to keep the tradition alive. When the UFC absorbed Pride FC, it was a little dark, but on New Year’s Eve ten years ago, Rizin Fighting Federation was born.
Tonight in Japan they keep that tradition going with RIZIN DECADE. You can order the very affordable PPV here.
We made RIZIN the focus of this week’s podcast but also mentioned what we want to see in MMA in 2025. There are some things on the horizon that look interesting, one of them being the GFL and their team-based MMA format.
If you want to read more about that, and the history of team-based MMA up until now, check out my latest post over at MYMMANEWS.
For more on RIZIN DECADE and the GFL, you can check out the latest edition of Coast-2-Coast Combat Hour!
Until next year everyone! Thank you for subscribing, looking forward to seeing what the new year brings and wishing you and yours a Happy New Year!
