GFL Draft
It Happened
Image: GFL
The GFL had their draft event yesterday.
It was lengthy, featured some familiar faces from combat sports, and had its issues but…
…we still have to see how the fights go. They haven’t started yet, they have to hold their first event to know what they’re bringing to the table. So, they deserve their shot.
If you missed their draft event and need to know more about the teams, you can check out my post over at MyMMANews.
PFL (Bellator?) Road to Dubai
The PFL is holding its “Road to Dubai” and its first event of 2025 this weekend.
The Bellator lightweight title is on the line, even though Bellator is no longer. Usman Nurmagomedov faces Paul Hughes to defend that title. Not sure how defending a title for a promotion they publicly executed is going to be cleared up, but if you have nothing to do Saturday at 11 AM ET, you can find out.
The event will air on HBO/MAX.
Cage Titans 69
Cage Titans returns with their first event of the year!
Featherweight title challenger Tom Pagliarulo enters as the outsider to face “Shameless” Don Shainis. Shainis is a former UFC vet looking to get back in the UFC if he defends the title, but Pagliarulo wants to disrupt those plans. I spoke to the challenger a week out from the fight, you can check out my piece on him and sign up to watch over at Spectation Sports.
Check out my interview with Pagliarulo here:
Whether you're a die-hard fan or just looking for some exciting entertainment, these fights are sure to deliver.
