Brendan Loughnane and Kai Kamaka III battled for a spot in the 2024 PFL Featherweight Championship with Loughnane winning by split decision.

He will now face Timur Khizriew, who went 17-0 defeating Gabriel Braga via split decision for this year’s featherweight title. The undefeated Khizriew has proven to be a problem with his last six fights being won decisively with his strong, controlled Dagestani fighting style. After the victory, Loughnane told PFL’s Karissa Maxwell, “no fight is ever easy”, and the final match-up looks like an excellent fight on paper.

“17-0 versus 30-5. What a fight that is on paper, if that don’t wet your lips, I don’t know what will,” Loughnane said looking ahead to the finals. He won the 2022 featherweight title and now that he’s locked in again for 2024, has a shot at being champion again and pocketing another million dollars.
