TGIF Week Combat Sports Watchlist
Get ready for an action-packed weekend of kickboxing and MMA!
Here are the biggest bouts you won't want to miss:
ONE 168: ONE World Champion Jonathan Haggerty vs. Superlek
If you’re a fan of Muay Thai, you’re not going to want to miss this main event between Haggerty and Superlek. Superlek is the flyweight champion at ONE so this is just two titans looking to see who’s best. There’s also some MMA mixed in as usual with John Lineker taking on Asa Ten Pow.
You can catch this event on Friday night, 8 PM ET on Prime Video.
Bellator Champions Series: C-Usman Nurmagomedov (17-0) vs. Alexander Shabliy (23-3)
It might not be the Bellator we liked, but this is the Bellator we’re getting under the PFL. The talent is still good and this is a solid lightweight title fight between Nurmagomedov and Shabliy. Other Bellator staple fighters are on the card such as; Aaron Jeffery taking on former champ, Douglas Lime, Lorenz Larkin vs Levan Chokheli, and Raufeon Stots vs. Marcos Breno.
This event will air on HBO/MAX Saturday night with prelims beginning at 5 PM PT/8 PM ET.
UFC Vegas 97: Gilbert Burns vs. Sean Brady
For ESPN+ subscribers, No. 6 ranked contender Gilbert Burns and No. 8 ranked Sean Brady at the UFC APEX. APEX cards get a lot of heat but this one is pretty well stacked with notable up-and-coming fighters such as Trevor Peek, Vanessa Demopoulos, and “Road to UFC” winners Rongzhu and YiZha.
Whether you're a die-hard fan or just looking for some exciting entertainment, these fights are sure to deliver.
