UFC
Kai Asukara Fighting a Stacked Deck

I want Kai Asukara to win.

I’ll put that out there first because he’s a champ coming over from RIZIN Fighting Federation in Japan. He relinquished his bantamweight title there to come to the UFC, so this is essentially a champ-vs-champ fight headlining UFC 310. His overall record is 21-4 and he’s on a two-fight win streak.

But it’s his first time in the UFC.

He’s fighting in a cage.

Against Aleandre Patoja, who already defended his title twice, has beaten RIZIN caliber talent (Manel Kape) and is on a six-fight win streak.

It would be really cool if Asukara wins, but the odds are stacked against him. Pantoja will likely win this fight, but if Asukara wins the UFC has a Japanese champ that could open a lot of doors for other great fighters from Japan.

Something Different

I’m a big Quora user and answer a lot of questions about martial arts there.

Quora is like Yahoo Answers but a lot better. I used to ask a lot of questions there until I started getting asked some myself. A lot of it is about training, or beginning training, self-defense, and things like that. I get thousands of views a month there on my answers that seem to help people so I decided to create a newsletter where I go deeper into the answers for questions about training.

If that’s something you’re interested in, I’ll make sure you get that in your inbox. It’s called “Mixed Martial Answers” and it’s completely free to read. Click the button below to subscribe:

Whether you're a die-hard fan or just looking for some exciting entertainment, these fights are sure to deliver.
